My portfolio represents a sample of work from 18 years as a freelance editor. I also worked in-house for Heritage House Publishing for a couple of years, first as in-house editor and then as editorial coordinator, on all aspects of book production.
Publishing projects
I love shepherding projects from raw content to finished product, from editing to layout and cover design to ebooks (and consulting on distribution and marketing).
- The Embodied Violinist: Teaching Violin with Passion and Practicality by Gwen Thompson-Robinow (self-published, 2017); my work on this put me on the shortlist for the 2018 Tom Fairley Award for Editorial Excellence (structural and copy editing, project management)
- The War in the Corner by Jan Braakman (copy editing, project management, book design and production)
- Laszlo Hudec and the Park Hotel by Lenore Hietkamp (book design and production)
